Improvement of Sussex Healthcare

Sussex Healthcare began in 1985 to give place for physical and psychological stimulation to the old. The institution spreads around Sussex with over 23 homes and 500 holding units. People entrust us with their loved ones. At Sussex, we welcome every new member with a healthcare plane that shows a programmed life. Every home has nurses qualified to attend to the needs of all the patients with professionalism. Also, we employ experienced chefs in every home and a team of assistants to help in preparing nutritious food for our members, especially people who need special dietary. Our primary concern is about the health of people who call Sussex home. Our understanding for the residents is distinguishable.

At Sussex Healthcare, we also have room to accommodate people living with various statuses like learning disabilities, neurological conditions, autism, and brain injury. We encourage physical activities to stimulate the body physically and emotionally for healthy living. Our residents can participate in various community activities like gardening. At Sussex, we provide an environment with healing power. We offer a situation where one patient gets concerned with the healing of the other. We believe that happiness is not only when one does not have an illness. Also, our therapeutic environment can help heal depression, mental illness, and some cancer. Sussex Healthcare runs under the leadership of two co-founders.

The two leaders are Shafik Sachedina and Shiraz Boghani. Early this year, the institution appointed Amanda Morgan-Taylor as the new chief executive officer. The leader qualifies for providing medical care. Thus, she came at the right time when Sussex needed someone to add some leadership opinions to help in improving the performance of the institution. Morgan-Taylor began her career as a mental health nurse in 1984. For more than 30 years, Morgan-Taylor worked in numerous public and private healthcare arenas.Morgan-Taylor used unique strategies in governing the institution. First, shortly after arriving at Sussex Healthcare, Morgan-Taylor visited all the homes to interact with the workers, residents, and the community at large. Therefore, she acquainted herself with the institution. The primary purpose for the CEO is to join hands with the administrative team in bringing improvement in the services provided.
